AURELIAN WITHIN is a free, volunteer-run men’s wellbeing initiative based in Worthing, West Sussex.
This is not therapy or counselling.
It is a human space for conversation, stillness and being heard.
It offers men a calm, confidential and grounded space to talk openly about what they are carrying, without pressure or judgement. The initiative is open to all men aged 18 and over, with local in-person support available in Worthing and telephone or video conversations available for men outside the area.
Many men struggle silently. From the outside, they may appear fine. They go to work, keep moving, support others and carry on as expected. Underneath, however, there can be stress, grief, anger, pressure, loneliness, confusion, exhaustion or simply too much going on internally with nowhere for it to go.
AURELIAN WITHIN provides a safe space to speak honestly and be properly heard. It is not therapy. It is not about fixing, judging or providing all the answers. It is about real conversation, calm presence and giving men room to say what needs to be said without pressure, expectation or comeback.
What we offer.
AURELIAN WITHIN currently offers free one-to-one conversations for men aged 18 and over, with the aim of developing small group conversations and informal social gatherings as it grows.
You can attend in person in Worthing, in a private and calm space where you can talk at your own pace, without judgement, expectation or pressure.
For men outside the area, or those unable to visit in person, telephone and video conversations are also available.
Too many men keep hard times to themselves for too long.
The service is entirely free.
Cost should not be the reason a man stays silent.
You do not need to be in crisis.
You do not need to explain yourself perfectly.
You do not need to have a solution.
You only need to be willing to start the conversation.
Sometimes they do not know where to turn or how to start talking. AURELIAN WITHIN was created because men need spaces where they can speak openly, or simply sit and listen, without feeling judged or weak.

AURELIAN WITHIN
The name comes from Aurelia, a word connected with gold, warmth, stillness and light.
'AURELIAN' is the masculine form, giving the name a stronger and more grounded feel.
'WITHIN' represents the inner reflection often needed before we can move forward with confidence and peace.
'AURELIAN WITHIN' is about helping men reconnect with what is still there beneath the pressure,
silence and weight they have been carrying.
